Who Cut the Cheese owner, Ann Tuomela and her food loving staff are always eager to guide you on a palate titillating journey to discover your unique favorites among their fabulous selection of domestic and imported cheeses. In spite of the fact I’m a card carrying member of their cheese club, the cheese mongers at WCTC never cease to amaze with new and exciting products. It was here where I first fell for smelly Old Quebec and developed a whoodathunk affection for Sophia, Coppola’s sparkling rose named for the director’s famous off-spring.
Besides cheese, WTCC carries all caliber and vintage of wine, selected with the knowledge that comes from having been a wine rep (as Ms. Big Cheese was prior to founding her own business). You’ll also find culinary gift items and palate pleasing specialties galore, like savory fig spread to serve with cheese which has been placed atop French leaves which, for only $.25/each add loads of class to your platter. Here, too is where I procured my favorite kitchen gadget of all time – the mango slicer – which makes short work of getting around those ill-shaped pits so there’s no dilly dallying on the way to making a mango margarita.
And so it is you’ll find many and sundry tips, tastings, totes and most importantly good things to eat and drink at Who Cut The Cheese. Stop in before or after the next wine tasting at Stella Blues.
