Kicking off the festival on April 2nd is the first annual Grown on Maui Bus Tour, which takes farm-ophiles to all the best place where things are grown on Maui.

Starting with a visit to Whole Foods, where the tour starts and ends at 8:30 a.m., you’ll travel to the Hali`imaile Pineapple Company upcountry for a chance to acquaint yourself with how pineapples are grown, harvested and packed.

Next stop is O`O Farms for their popular Farm to Table Tour after which a delightful lunch is prepared by a gourmet chef at the open-air wood fired stove and served family-style under the arbor (add link to our story here). Dessert will be worth waiting for at the Alii Lavender Farm.  After strolling through the ever-beautiful protea and lavender gardens as the guest of the oh-so-charming Mr. Ali`i Chang, you’ll appreciate  a lavender based dessert and drink to refresh and revitalize. Time is allowed for browsing the farm’s delightful culinary and bath and body items at the all things Lavender gift shop. The tour concludes back at Whole Foods where guests can load up their carts before making the trek back home just in time for dinner!
