Free weekend of learning, sharing & honoring safe, local food & farming. Saturday 10:30-4:00: topics include Abundant Food: Hawaii’s Amazing History & Potential and Taking Action! Influencing the Process. Special guest speakers include Dr. Hector Valenzuela of UH; Vincent Mina, Maui Aloha `Aina; Melanie Bondera, farmer, papaya expert; Dr. Lorrin Pang, Public Health Specialist; Isaac Moriwake, Earthjustice and more! Sat 4:30: Malama Haloa, Protecting the Taro – a short, inspiring film w/Uncle Jerry Konanui. Followed by a celebration of Maui County’s law to protect taro from genetic tampering!

Come share Ono Pono Food, talk story, play music! Sunday 9:00-1:00 will be Ono Pono Seed Exchange! Bring seeds, cuttings, starts, huli that have done well on Maui. No seeds? No problem! Come join in the sharing and learn from experienced growers!
