Mala Wailea and JMD Beverages are hosting a benefit for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Aug. 12, 2010, featuring wines by Bonny Doon Vineyards. The event starts at 6 pm with a reception featuring passed flatbread appetizers and Vin Gris de Cigare, 2008.

Dinner is served at 6:30 pm, a 6-course extravaganza with wine pairing, starting with Samoan breadfruit and ginger soup; salad course of Big Island hearts of palm with lemongrass shrimp; with Entrees of wok-fried fish and Kurobuta pork loin with mango chutney. Event will finishe with a luscious chocolate dessert. Each course is paired with Bonny Doon wines and cost only $85/pp, plus tax and tip. Call 875-9394 for last minute reservations.
