Enjoy a comedy show by Hawaii’s own “Augie T” during a delicious, al fresco, three course, farm to table dinner. Two of What’s Cooking Maui’s favorite establishments figure prominently into the event – O`o Farms, and Maui Brewing Company.
This very special fund-raising event will feature a menu of locally grown and produced Maui products, including Maui Cattle Co. all-natural beef, sustainable seafood, and organic vegetables grown especially for the occasion by O’o Farms. The Fulton Toshombe Quartet will provide live jazz music during dinner, followed by a comedy show by Augie T.
The menu will include:
- ginger tofu won ton pi salad;
- asian pork buns served with sliced grilled pork belly;
- prime rib roasted with rosemary and served with horseradish sauce;
- locally caught mahi mahi served Hawaiian-style (steamed and finished with hot peanut oil, cilantro, ginger, garlic, shiitake mushrooms and shoyu);
- oven roasted chicken breast served with garlic Hamakua mushroom cream sauce;
- grilled vegetables marinated in Maui onion dressing;
- garden vegetable fried rice with locally raised teardrop tomatoes, asparagus, red onions and carrots.
Desserts will include fresh island fruits with haupia tapioca dip, pineapple and taro bread pudding with caramel creme, fresh-baked brownies, coffe and tea. Maui Brewing Company is donating its local, microbrewed beers for the event, and Tedeschi Winery is donating local wines.
The event takes place under the stars in Kalama Park from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $90.00 ($75 for Pacific Whale Foundation members) and include up to three cocktails per adult, as well as unlimited juices and sodas. You can save more by purchasing an entire table for a party of eight for $612 ($510 for Pacific Whale Foundation members). Now that’s the way to host to party! All proceeds benefit Pacific Whale Foundation’s marine education programs for Maui schoolchildren. Advance reservations required. This event is for adults ages 21 and over only.
