Westin Ono Bar and Grill – 5-9 p.m. The Westin is hosting a lavish buffet for $59/adults, $29/children 6-12 (under 5 no charge) to include all the traditional fixings plus island favorites such as smoked island catch, California rolls, ahi poke, pan roasted oyster stew and wok fried crab legs in chili garlic sauce. Choose from sesame noodle and chicken salad, crispy wontons sweet chili vinaigrette, orange macadamia salad with fennel, dried cranberries, and candied macadamia nuts. When you add the turkey, gravy, potatoes, stuffing, roast beef, pies, cakes and cheese spread, it’s more than you could ever whip up at home, no? For a lot less, yes? Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas’ Thanksgiving by the Pool was designed for you to
“relish life’s bliss and revelry.” The perfect opportunity to celebrate appreciation with a special buffet menu designed to “invigorate, revive, and recharge” will be offered poolside from 3-8 p.m. Buffet options similar to the Westin Ono Bar, including a vast selection of chilled pacific oysters, peel and eat shrimp, ginger mignonette, smoked island fish, ahi sashimi, California and spicy tuna sushi rolls, tropical fruits and international cheeses along with everything else you’d expect at Thanksgiving dinner. The ever elegant Pulehu is featuring a pris fixe menu starting with roasted butternut squash soup with candied apples and pancetta, followed by maui grown, organic red and golden beets, upcountry field greens with candied walnuts, Maytag bleu cheese, toasted almonds, cranberry & maui onion vinaigrette. The entrée is traditional oven roasted young turkey with maui onion gravy, macadamia nut/Italian sausage stuffing, buttered beans and garlic mashed potatoes. Top it off with pumpkin crisp with Tahitian vanilla bean gelato and you’ll be ready to sit back and watch the game soul-satisfied. Cost is $45/pp. Pulehu’s regular menu will also be available if turkey’s just not your thing.
Tropica, the seaside glamour girl of Westin’s dining options, has created a special 3-course prix fix menu for $49. Start off with Risotto with Ruffled Lobster and Butternut Squash, follow with Herb Roasted Diestel RanchTurkey Braised Leg with mushrooms, sherry scented Brussel sprouts, cippolini onions, whipped Golden Potatoes, Port Infused Cranberries, Cornbread Sage Stuffing and Porcini Gravy. Two-toned Pumpkin Pie with Nutmeg Scented Marscapone and Pecan Brittle finishes the feast. Items are also available ala carte and the regular menu will also be available on Thanksgiving.

Four Seasons Wailea is offering a scrumptious Thanksgiving Buffet at Duo from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Cost is $87/adults, $39.00 per child (ages 6-12) and includes a special keiki menu. (Spago is offering a Thanksgiving Plate for $48.) Options are as thrilling as you’d expect from one of the world’s highest rated hoteliers, including Alaskan Snow Crab Claws, Oysters on the Half Shell, Chilled Jumbo Prawns, Chardonnay Poached Spiny Lobster Tail, House Cured Salmon, Togarashi Seared Tuna and Seaweed Salad, and Assorted Sushi and Sashimi. That’s just the warm-up. Following is Roasted Duck Breast, Molokai Potato, Cranberry and Baby Spinach Salad, Heirloom Beet, “Surfing Goat Cheese”, Candied Walnut and Frisee Salad, Maine Lobster Salad and Sweet Corn Parfait, Marinated Wild Mushrooms, Grilled Asparagus, Kula Heirloom Tomatoes, Butternut Squash Soup, Imported and domestic cheeses and charcuterie. Lahaina Grill, where it’s Thanksgiving and Christmas every day if you ask us, is opening a half hour earlier for Thanksgiving at 5:30 pm and offering the following special menu in addition to their traditional Bistro Menu. Start with Butternut squash soup ~ Garnished with chestnuts, crème fraîche and chive oil, $13.00, then dive into Traditional roasted turkey with giblet gravy, cranberry relish, sausage and sage dressing, baked yams with lime and honey, glazed baby carrots, Brussels sprouts and pearl onions for $ 41.00. Or forgo the traditional and enjoy LG’s renown Herb and Asiago Crusted Opakapaka, specially served with chestnut and butternut squash risotto, tomato- lobster champagne essence for $46.00. Finish with traditional Home-made Pumpkin Pie, garnished with pumpkin seed brittle and vanilla infused whipped cream at $ 13.00 or Pumpkin Crème Brûlée for $ 13.00. If you are like me, you won’t be able to pass on LGs famous Triple Berry Pie, regardless of holiday!
Hali`imaile General Store presents Thanksgiving Buffet, 2009, from 2:30 p.m – 7:30 p.m. Cost for adults is $36.00, Children ages 7-9 $20.00, children ages 6 and under no charge. Start off with Baby Greens, Fresh Berries, Crispy Onion Strings, crumbled Blue cheese salad with citrus vinaigrette served to you at the table. Then stretch your legs in preparation for the buffet feast including Traditional Roast Turkey with Gravy, Savory Mushroom and celery stuffing, Short Ribs with Horseradish Sauce, Grand Marnier Sweet Potatoes with mixed nut brittle, Mashed Potatoes, Corn Pudding, Wild Rice with smoked chicken, pine nuts and cranberries, Honey Mint Glazed Carrots, Seafood Stirfry with sugar snap peas and confetti peppers, Relishes and ahhh… … pumpkin and pecan pie!
Bountiful Buffet at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua from 3 pm to 7 pm at The Terrace. Reservations can be made by contacting the Concierge at 808-665-7089. The cost is $75 per adult and $37.50 per child (ages 5-12 years old). The buffet is open to resort guests and the local community.
To begin the holiday celebration, guests will be able to sample an array of appetizers such as oyster clam chowder and warm baked brie with macadamia nuts and Hawaiian brown sugar. Thanksgiving entrées will include roasted tom turkey, cinnamon and honey glazed ham, and garlic crusted prime rib. In addition, guests are welcome to enjoy sushi rolls, jumbo shrimp and smoked salmon from the seafood display. Dinner will conclude with an extravagant dessert station, which will offer walnut cheesecake, cranberry raisin scones, bourbon pecan pie and many more delicious desserts.
