Festival of Aloha, September 24-30, 2010

Tomorrow, September 24, 2010, begins Maui’s Aloha Festival Season, a fall tradition in the Hawaiian Islands. The weeklong event kicks off at Whole Foods, Kahului and features healthy food demonstrations, Keiki Hula show, and cultural demonstrations.  Free admission, Maui Mall, 4 p.m to 7:30 p.m

On September, 25th,  The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua presents “Jewels of the Pacific” featuring crafters using native organics and Polynesian Wellness education in the hotl lobby, 10 am – 6 pm. Talk story with Richard Hoopii about the history of Falsetto from 11-12 in the, Hawaiian Cultural Hotel Theater.  Falsetto for Future Generation will take place for(youth) up to 17 years, from 1 – 3 p.m, in the Hawaiian Cultural Hotel Theater.

EVENING HIGHLIGHT: 9th annual Richard Ho‘opi‘i Falsetto Contest.  Admittance- Festivals of Aloha 2010 Ribbon; Salon Ballroom, 6 p.m – 9 p.m .

Sept 30: Practice Aloha:  Celebrity Chefs’ Poke demonstrations and free sampling with a Festivals of Aloha 2010 Ribbon. Practice Aloha book launch by authors Chef Mark Ellman and Barbara Santos. Entertainment by George Kahumoku from the new CD, Practicing Aloha. Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa room night giveaway and special door prizes. Mala Wailea RestaurantWailea Marriot Resort & Spa, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m
