Earth Hour March 27, 8:30 pm

8:30 p.m. March 27th is Earth Hour, when people around the world will shut off their power for one hour. In celebration, many big city mainland restaurants will be serving by candlelight. Haven’t heard of any Maui venues that are participating but if you’re out and about on Saturday night, pull a switch and see what happens.

Just kidding, but we feel it would be a wonderful thing to dine by candlelight in the pitch quiet for an hour or so with the power cut. Listen to the wind, the waves lapping, a gecko chirping…pick up your ukulele, sway to the sounds. Might leave those lights off all night…

Ah, this just in – the Four Seasons Lanai is turning off the lights!
