In contrast to the sailor’s shenanigans, diners will proceed to the Baldwin House where prim Mrs. Baldwin attempts to make order of chaos while six boisterous children make mischief and her type-A physician husband is out on emergency (Angelina take note). Fresh garden greens and veggies plucked from Mrs. Baldwin’s garden are actually courtesy of Chef James McDonald and O`o Farms, and Chef Philip Wang of Merriman’s, but don’t tell.
Next, Chef Masuda of Hoaloha Catering (Old Lahaina Luau) welcomes guests into Hale Aloha where the main course, Ponzu Grilled New York Steak, Maui Onion Mahimahi, and spicy Tuna Poke, will be presented along with wines donated by Better Brands…that is, after the church choir sings for its supper. Moving right along, the jailhouse will rock as 1800’s inmates tempt you with scandalous dancing and scrumptious desserts from Pineapple Grill, The Melting Pot, Lahaina Grill, Take Home Maui and CJ’s Deli.
Cost of the event is $135/pp all inclusive of taxes and gratuity ($60 is tax deductable). Call 808-661-3263 or visit the website for ticket reservations. Sure to be a rip-roaring good time for a worthy cause.
