Formerly Maui Grill, and before that Fish and Poi, Cafe O’Lei has stepped back in to revive a space that really needs to be totally remodeled to make best use of what could be a fabulous dining option. It’s aching for Restaurant Make-over. It would be worth it! The food is really good and surprisingly well-priced. But there’s something about the room that is utterly forgettable. Unless I stumble across a reminder of how much I love the quinoa and grilled veggie plate, I forget to dine here myself and that’s a shame.
