This Friday, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center presents Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald in concert. It’s always fun for the boomers to revisit those golden days of yore when they were first making their way through the world.

In any case, whatever your age, Why Don’t You Steal Away and enjoy the great blue-eyed soul registered in Michael McDonald’s unmistakable vocal chords and enjoy some fun walking down memory lane with a Maui Taco in hand to help ease any lingering pangs of regret or nostalgia the songs may rekindle. But if you need to cry it out, Boz will be there, too and he’s the king of soulful. Don’t believe me? Then why is “Look What You’ve Done to Me” one of his greatest hits? Listen, it’s going to be a fun night cuz I’m sure the guys have plenty of upbeat numbers to get you back in the leave-it-all-behind-and-move along track.
But seriously, the pre-concert festivities promise to be loads of fun with food court and drinks served by some of Maui’s favorite eateries and one of WCM’s favorite caterers, Consuelo. And of course, those old familiar tunes will likely conjure tons of great memories, reminders that you certainly have lived, baby, so have another Jungle Bar.
